For the happy few, the Christmas holidays are warm and cosy, spent together with family and friends. A moment of reflection and connection. But there is also a large group of people for whom the holidays are days full of stress. Perhaps loneliness too. A new year and good resolutions.

Reflection
The festive season means expensive months. For many people, stressful days too. How are you going to make ends meet and get through the month? You have time to think about the past year. What will you do differently, and what was good this year? I've thought about it too. I've had a busy, sometimes stressful, but also loving year. I've had the privilege of selling lovely homes well. I've been able to grow Gusto Casa further. Made people happy with the purchase of a new home, and valued lots of homes. The housing market is on the up. All you hear now are the success stories. Homes that are under water and people in dire situations in owner-occupied homes are hardly talked about. But that doesn't mean they don't exist right now.
The estate agent as a person
I often open the door at a viewing and people are a bit surprised. Not a man in a suit, but a young woman, usually in a dress. Someone like you, your friends or your family. No slick young guy… I notice people sometimes need to get used to that a little. The best thing about my work, I think, is that you can really make a difference for people. Listening to their wishes, looking for solutions. And of course negotiating hard and tight, and searching creatively for the best sales strategy. This year, for example, I was able to help someone who has been through a very hard time. Going that extra step, going to see someone when they're struggling, and celebrating successful transactions together. A few years ago I had a client who suddenly fell ill during the sales process; there were other interests at stake and other choices had to be made. What could be better than really being there for someone in a period like that, and making sure together that it turns into a good transaction.
A Christmas present
I'd like to help someone in a difficult financial situation. This could be due to a divorce, illness or wrong choices. I'll come round to see you. Then together we'll look at what we can do to get the best transaction price, and I'll help you from A to Z with the sale. This takes time, money and effort. Together we'll bring order to the chaos, if there is any. We'll make a plan of action and together make sure your residual debt is as small as possible, or that there's money left over, or even that extra money is freed up for a new home. What do I ask of you? A short write-up of your story and a brief picture of your financial situation. I'll then choose someone to sell his or her home FREE of charge. That way there's a glimmer of light on the horizon, and you can start 2020 with a clean slate.
Spreading the word
Tell me about people around you who you think may no longer be able to see the wood for the trees, someone you'd really love to see get a break, or someone who could really use this help. That way, together, at the end of the year and the start of the new one, we'll give someone a new beginning! I'll treat this information confidentially and will ask the person in question to get in touch themselves. More information? info@gustocasa.nl
