About this property
The home
At the end of the 1e Daalsedijk lies this delightful ground-floor residence, just a 5-minute walk from the historic city center. You get the proximity to the city center while still enjoying parking right in front of your door. The home has been meticulously maintained and features a sleek finish. All you have to do is move in! Upon entry, you walk through the hall into the living room. Thanks to the open layout, light streams in from both the front and back, and you are always connected to the space. There is a cozy seating area at the front and room for a large dining table at the back, ensuring there is always space for friends and family who want to drop by. The new, luxurious open kitchen also ensures you can chat while cooking without missing any of the conversation. It even includes a Quooker tap.
From the dining table, you overlook the patio, a walled courtyard with a Mediterranean atmosphere. The garden faces southwest, meaning it is wonderfully sunny. The garden was professionally landscaped under architecture. The house is built around the patio/garden, providing a great deal of privacy. A hallway leads from the kitchen to the bedroom at the back of the plot. Situated two steps higher than the rest of the house, the bedroom feels very cozy. Even so, there is plenty of room to place a large wardrobe next to the bed and potentially a desk for working from home.
This is an apartment where you will feel right at home immediately!
Surroundings
Daalsedijk is one of the oldest streets in Utrecht and, around 1500, served as the main route between Utrecht and Amsterdam. This role has since been taken over by the Amsterdamsestraatweg, and Daalsedijk has been split in two. At 1e Daalsedijk, you live in a wonderful, quiet area, as the bustle has moved elsewhere.
We can say this from our own experience, as we actually live and work just a few doors away! The Pijlsweerd neighborhood is one of the best areas in Utrecht—just outside the canal ring and quickly into the city center. You are faster on foot than by bike. On Saturday mornings, stroll along the water toward the market at Vredenburgplein, have a cup of coffee at your favorite spot, and pop into a shop. For your daily groceries, you can go around the corner to the Amsterdamsestraatweg. At the beginning, you will find Albert Heijn, Aldi, and Eko Plaza, while further down are Plus and Amazing Oriental. The latter is highly recommended if you want to try something different. We could talk for hours about the lovely eateries that have established themselves on the Amsterdamsestraatweg in recent years. A sandwich for lunch? Walk to Prem or Brandstof. For dinner, you are not only quickly in the city, but you can also walk to GYS or Ddadi.
The accessibility of this home is also excellent. From Utrecht Centraal, you can walk home within 10 minutes, and by car, you are quickly on the A2, which gets you to Amsterdam in 30 minutes. You don't just live comfortably here; you can also easily explore other surroundings.
Layout
Ground floor: Behind the front door is the hall with the toilet at the end. An under-stair cupboard has been built under the staircase of the upstairs neighbors, providing ample storage space. From the hall, you enter the open living and dining room with the open kitchen at the rear and a view of the patio. Behind the kitchen is a small hallway providing access to the garden. Behind this are the bathroom and the bedroom.
